Shame on Dane County for weakening a strong ordinance which protected all of its residents from the dangers of secondhand smoke.
Shame on a business seeking an exemption to unlevel the playing field for all businesses. All niche businesses could be subject to an exemption based on this type of thinking.
SHAME!

Secondhand smoke, really a headache problem.
It is much more seriously in China, much more shame.
Dane County passed a strong ordinance that went into effect in August 2009. They have been considering an amendment to exempt tobacco bars. This exemption failed at the original debate, but revived due to a particular business owner. The exemption passed in its reconsideration. Big disappointment.
